A Principal’s Diary
It’s Saturday. I’m back at my Queens castle. Last week turned out much differently than anticipated. I think I wanted all 4320 pages, to come out and make sense in the first few pages of my writing, but that didn’t happen. I was okay on Monday morning, feeling pretty normal after our return trip from Egypt to Albuquerque. Despite the change in time zones and our two days of travel, I felt pretty good, but by the end of the day, I felt something suspect in my body. Was I just tired or did I catch something, in which case, a little extra sleep would help both. Turns out, I did catch something, and much of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon I spent sleeping and tending to my body wanting to get my regular energy back. It’s Saturday, and I’m back to 95% energy levels. I have a little congestion, but other than that, I’m good.
It changed the focus of my writing. I had in mind some philosophical writing about how I and the world are growing, but my perspective now is to get as much of the items complete from my growing lists of tasks, because once these things are done, then the focus can be on others. So, as I complete these tasks, then I write a little every day about what is going through my mind.
I’m still going back and forth, feeling out what works better, first or third person. I think with a third person perspective, it could be more playful, and that is part of what I understood last night – just to make it a fun game. “Have fun with it” came through many times on the drive to Albuquerque.
